4VS WINS FOUR (4) VIDEO AWARDS

Four Village Studio was awarded four "Nor'easters" at this year's "Alliance for Community Media, Northeast Regional Video Festival". Two 1st Place awards, a 2nd Place award, and a 3rd Place award were presented to 4VS host-producers at the recently held annual ceremony in Burlington, Vermont. Eligible programs for this competition were mandated to have been produced and first-time cablecast during 2022.

“Wes Houston Presents…” captured a 1st Place acknowledgement for an episode celebrating the program’s 200th show. Producer Wes Houston, who also doubled as a guest with his six-piece group “Wes & Friends”, took the top honor in the Music & Performance category.

Another 1st Place award, in the General Talk Show category, was given to producer Rex Whicker for his program "Uncorked". In an episode titled “Disney World Wines: V”, Rex guided viewers on an informative tour describing the restaurant and wine options available at the world renowned theme park.

A 2nd Place accolade went to producer Bill Corbett, Jr. in the Diversity Empowerment category for an episode of his program "Inspiring Stories". Guests Mark X. Cronin and John Cronin, father and son founders of “John’s Crazy Socks”, discussed their heartwarming journey that built the company.

A 3rd Place prize went to host/producer Larry King for an episode of "FPFD: Red Alert" which was entered in the Instructional & Training category. The award-winning program, “Civilian Response to Medical Emergencies”, featured the expertise of EMT-CC Edward Rothenberg from Rescue Co.1 of the Floral Park Volunteer Fire Department.

The annual regional festival accepts program entries from community television producers throughout New England and New York State. This is the 23rd year that Four Village Studio has submitted entries to the festival where hundreds of programs battle for the top honors. 4VS has collected 72 awards in numerous categories since first entering this regional competition.
