4VS WINS FOUR (4) VIDEO AWARDS

Four Village Studio won four "Nor'easter Awards" at this year's "Alliance for Community Media, Northeast Regional Video Festival". 4VS host-producers were presented with two 1st Place awards, one 2nd Place award, and one 3rd Place award at the recently held annual ceremony. Eligible entries for the competition were mandated to have been produced and first-time cablecast during 2020.

The studio garnered a 1st Place finish for an episode of "The Antique Road Test" produced by Walter Gosden and John Salemmo. The winning program, entered in the Historical Documentary category, showcased "Hershey: The AACA Eastern Fall Nationals", a massive annual car show and swap meet.

Another 1st Place award, in the Profile Talk Show category, was given to producer Larry Davidson for his program "Davidson & Co.". The episode, "The Long Island / New York Film Festival", featured event founder and director Gerry Ferretti displaying various entry clips from the annual competition.

A 2nd Place award, in the Municipal/Government Programming category, went to host/producers Larry King, Bob Wisniewski, and Leigh Tyrrel for their program "FPFD: Red Alert". Titled "The Evolution of the Fire Truck", this show told the story of how and why fire apparatus has changed during the past century.

A 3rd Place award was given to host/producer Wes Houston for an episode of "Wes Houston Presents..." entered in the Music & Performance category. During this program, the talents of singer-songwriter-guitarist Dave Christian were put on display.

The award-winning producers were acknowledged during a virtual ceremony on Thursday, November 11th. The annual regional festival accepts program entries from community television producers throughout New England and New York State. This is the 21st year that Four Village Studio has submitted entries to the festival where hundreds of programs vie for the top honors. 4VS has collected 64 awards in numerous categories since first entering this regional competition.
